Since 2008, there has been a build up and overhaul of the Ghanaian stand up comedy scene. Initially, if was outstanding comedians such as Waterproof, super OD etc. There also were another group of elite comedians who came to the scene to play a major role to set the scene for stand up comedy. The likes of KSM, Fritz Baffour, Tommy Annan Forson etc. Then came the beginning of new school and real stand up comedy. Lead by David Oscar, DKB, David Aglah, Foster Romanus, Obrempong Percy, Khemikal, Jacinta and Funny Face. This industry has made waves and with stand up comedians like OB Amponsah, MJ the comedian, Lekzy the Comic, Augustin Dennis heading the scene. It's confident that Comedy is in safe hands.
